Page 1 of WHY HAS MY DVD GOT A LOUD HISSING SOUND?

every-time i turn my lg da-3520 dvd player on ther is a very loud "hissing" noise from all 6 speakers. Can anyone help me?

There is a known problem with the early units and a hissing sound (those begining with a serial number that starts pre 203.....) These units have been recalled by LG so you need to contact the shop where you got it from or you can phone the LG helpdesk on 0870 607 5544.

i have contacted the shop but they said they contacted LG and this problem was unknown. is there anywhere on the web where i can see this in writing to show the shop
