I can`t wait for the realisation that the 505 is dead in the water...

I mean they can`t even get decent stocks for the internals.

I predict that twilight is upon the 505.

It` about as low on features as my sony which could be a compliment ironduke. Still it`s much fatter than the sony. It needs to loose some weight and gain a better remote.

I think you will find MRM are the only ones putting the 505 on hold.(I have been in daily contact with them over the 705).

Ive been reading somewhere that the latest batch of 505`s have dud chips in them!

Have you or anyone else heard this , and are there any online news about it?

Buying the 505 isnt worth it no more, as the 705 has more features and can be bought R2 for 285, cheaper then a multiregion & macrodisabled 505, it also has not suffered from the duff chip problem.

You should be able to buy it multi & macro soon for less then 330.

You might want to look at the Thomson 4500.
