crown cdv661 problems with vcd`s

I managed to hack it to multi region play but can`t get it to play vcd`s am i doing something wrong... I tried the hack that has been posted but didn`t work apparently. Can someone describe what i should see on the tv when i am doing this. I would appreciate the help.

i have managed to hack this player and can now play vcd`s here is the instructions:-
press open
place audio cd in tray( legit cd not cdr)
press open
press menu
press1
press index (this is the second button in from right on bottom row of buttons)
press open (you should now get an option to enable vcd)
press 1 (which is the option above)
