I have been looking for a multiregion dvd player that plays Vcd and Svcd. I am looking to pay about £100. Can anyone recommend any. Has anyone heard of the Mustek V560 whats it like

I picked the Dansai 1010 up for £60 from Tesco`s yesterday. Can be remote hacked to play multi-region, is RCE compatibile and allows you to disable Macrovision. On the box it says it played VCD`s and SVCD`s, when i tried this last night it didnt work. Phoned Tesco helpline and for some reason they disabled the ability to play these, but they are sending me out a disk that will unlock vcd and svcd.

Which Tesco did you get this at? I checked their website, and there`s no sign of them.

Also, how do you disable the macro

Got it in store at the Norham Road, North Shields branch. To option to disable Macro is on the same screen where you change the region.
Offer only on til 3rd Sept. then it goes back to original price of £85.
