Home cinema surround sound dvd player under 400 pounds

Can anyone recommend a dvd with cinema surround sound ?
I currently have a 32 inch beko w/screen tv.
Ive been told that a dvd player with a scart socket is best. Is this true?
You can probably tell i`m a dvd `virgin`, so any good advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
