Aiwa 370 proper format for MP3?

asnyder (Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 7th December 2000, 14:29

When I got my new Aiwa 370, I popped in a disc of MP3`s that I keep to listen to music on my notebook computer, and it worked except for some confusion of directory names that may have had to do with it being a multisession disc.

I made a new disc using ISO version 1 format and 8.3 format file names, as suggested in the manual, and with all the MP3 files in one directory, also as suggested in the manual. The player reads the disc and shows the number of tracks, but won`t play the music (it just makes sounds as if the head is seeking over and over).

What CD format(s) have worked for others? Is there a way to make the player recognize ID3 tags (I read a review somewhere that said that it did)?

Thanks for any help!
