Page 1 of Scan firmware version??

I know this has been asked on a number of occasions but no one seems to be answering, so I`ll try again.

How do you determine what firmware version your scan player has?

I think mine might need a reflash but I dont want to do it just before Christmas and risk damaging the player unless I have to.

Can anyone please help..

To check firmware and macrovision on your player press the following.

Power on - open - setup - stop - step - menu

You get a blue screen with various info.

MAIN VER is firmware version

Macrovision:
ADV7172 = 00000001 then macrovision disabled or 00000000 for macrovision enabled
