Can you confirm it does the lot including

DVD-RW/DVD-VCD/ DVD-SVCD/DVD-MP3

yes can play svcd & vcd have still to try mp3 but says it can on the box have not got any dvd-r disk so can`t try this

also can be made region free using the hack for lg 5000 players at this web address, ( http://www.choosefirst.co.uk ) you will have to make the cd though, and i will not be held responsible if it messes up you dvd player, but it worked on my uk spec toshiba sd-420e

I actually meant DVD-SVCD/VCD which is vcd movies with their audio upped to 48khz on DVD.

I knew the tosh 420 was an LG clone
