i`m just going onto Telewest digital tv down here in devon..(about time too...lol)
Can someone please tell me what connection to your tv they use? i guess its through a SCART socket..
...so if i`ve got my DVD player in scart1 and my video in scart2 at present then how will they connect me up??
and comments appreciated...

If you have got a spare scart on your video then they will connect via your video. If you haven`t got a spare scart then it`s the usual TV out.

By the way, if it`s the same Telewest box as I have got it wont have audio out so scart via your video is the best way to get surround sound.

Check this guys site out he`s got Telewest too.

Hope This Helps!

i`m also connecting to Blueyonder....does the cable that connects to my computer come into the house as a seperate line or does it have to go to the set top box?
oh and is there any difference in the digital picture quality if you have to connect via tv-out rather than a scart socket?

The scart picture would be marginally better, I think, because it is not going via your TV tuner and also because of the nature of scart.

When they install broadband they find the nearest accessible point to where your computer is going to be and drill a hole through your wall (make sure you lay paper down cos we got black brick dust all over our new carpet as Telewest engineers are renowned for not being very tidy). From this hole they feed the external cable into a seperate little junction box thingy from the one your TV comes through. They then run a cable from this to your cable modem.

Hope this helps.
