Page 1 of SCAN SC2000. Good Reviews but...

I have recently been looking at purchasing a SC2000. The main reasons being the MP3 player, multiregion, the macrovision disabling feature, and of course the price.

Each day I go into this hardware forum with a certain amount of intrepidation. On one hand there are people who say they are bad players and on the other you have people who swear by them. I guess the amount of bad comments are due to the happy people not having a reason to read the forum and the unhappy people - obviously - looking for answers.

Anyway, I am still not convinced, from what I have read the new December batch are good and have fewer problems. Obviously now I would have to wait until January, via the waiting list no doubt. Will the January batch have even fewer problems, or is this amount of speculation a gamble I should not be taking?

Finally are there any other players which have the same features for roughly the same price, esp. the feature i`ve listed above? No "Aiwa 370 Rocks" or other such sad and anti-social `hmmm maybe you should get out more and get laid` comments please....
