SKY Box Office - Problems ordering a movie (how to...?)

sultan (Competent) posted this on Friday, 25th October 2002, 16:07

All,
I`ve followed SKYs instructions to order a movie to the letter but I still
cannot purchase a movie for viewing.

I press BOX OFFICE on the SKY remote and Navigate the options to arrive at the desired movie and start time. I then press select (so that it shows PRICE) then press select to book it.

When the time for the movie arrives, I am reminded by the personnal
planner that movie is about to start and that I should go over to the required channel. At the channel, I key in my 4 digit pin
and the channel becomes available but then after 10 minutes (of freeviewing, perhaps) the channel is encrypted and requests my pin number again.

When I provide the pin number it says press SELECT for information which shows the pricing information and when Selecting again it states I cannot order it as the movie has started.

What am I doing wrong ?. My panasonic digibax has the latest firmware as of a week ago (which I loaded due to these problems but the problem still persists).

Thanks

A friend of mine had trouble ordering Box Office movies. He contacted Sky. In the end it turned out to be the modem in the Digibox.

It sounds as though you are doing everything correctly though.
