i have got toshiba 220 multiregion from richersounds today
i plays region1 dvd but without colors ,its connected thru scart and output selected is auto ,if i change output to pal it tells me disc not supported
any solutions please

Try changing settings to RGB not composite that will cure it and improve the picture.

any suggestions to make toshiba 220 multiregion work with ntsc region 1 dvd as its still showing black and white

Are u sure it is RGB, then make sure your TV is RGB capable I.E right scart socket, usally AV1 then make sure it is a full scart lead you can do that by opening the lead and checking all pins are connected.

myTV has only one input and thats scart( single)
will it hep changing the scart lead

What make and model is your tv? How old is it? It will only help to change the scart lead if TV is RGB compatiable.

its matsui and 3and 1/2 yrs old and the scart lead i checked is not full

i have tried a new scart to scart lead and its still black and white output is it my telly or dvd player
is it possible that the other dvd player will give output compatible with my telly

I too have the same problem. Purchased the chipped version of the SD220 but my region 1 disks appear balck and white. The strange thing is that my previous DVD player (a Shinco 8100) played the region 1 disks ok and the films are in colour on my TV. The TV I have is NTSC compatible and my previous Shinco DVD proves this. So what could the problem be??
Any suggestions is appreciated.
