Connecting DVD + SKY + Gamecube to TV.

dsm (Competent) posted this on Wednesday, 4th December 2002, 16:38

I`d like to connect three pieces of hardware (using Scart) to one TV that only has two Scart ports.

TV - only has one RGB wired port.

At the minute SKY is connected to RGB port, and the DVD player (no RGB output anyway) is connected to the 2nd port. Can I run my Gamecube through the SKY Digibox (GC has RGB output).

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Well I`ve got SKY connected to AV1 (RGB)
DVD player connected to AV2 (S-VHS)
That left we with no option but to invest in an S-VHS cable for the PS2, which plugs in round the side of my TV, or under a flap on the front of other TV`s. It`s a round plug, not a scart. I would assume the gamecube has the same facility if you but the right cable. Picture quality is superb.
I found looping anything through anything caused problems, hence the direct connections in all cases now.

I can recommend the scart switcher from argos, the one with big clunky buttons.

If you`re gamecube is a PAL one, then it doesn`t output an SVHS signal, this was scraped to give us RGB output I believe.
