Does anyone know about this player?
It says on the Staples blurb:-

I would be interested in a multi-region and Macro hack

Bought one last night ........ Plays everything i`ve chucked at it,DVDR, VCD,SVCD and mp3 playback is very good, with a smart navigation menu.

Macrovision is NOT disabled...... not tried a Region 1 disk yet but interestingly on my receipt the player is listed as a MEDION dvd player.....so I shall try some of the Medion hacks later .

Overall, very pleased with the player. 5.1 sound for 70 quid...bargain

I bought one yesterday too, but I have tried DVD-RW and it wont play...even when its finalised. Is your Mirror DVD player the DVD-MIRR110?

By the way im also looking for a possible Region hack, I have tried the Medion player ones already and no luck!

Yes, mine is the MIRR110.

I havent got any DVDRW disks, so not tried them yet,

Will let you know if i find a region hack that works!

Hi, I also brought this dvd player yesterday and I would like a Region Hack too :) mine seems to work fine so far with just about everything too(though I haven`t tried mp3 or DVD-Rs yet). one thing though, my image on screen seems to be cut off on the left so I can`t see part of the film, is there a way to fix this? thanks (its connected thru a scart lead btw and its not a widescreen tv)

Hmm.. ELoo.. I actually work for STAPLES in staines 71. We got like 15 of these in, 10 were snapped up by staff.. and only 5 left for the 100 customers we had wanting these! RAH!

Anyhoo.. Were at the mo trying to hack this bugga. For 70 squid this is a f***ing good deal, especially if it can be made Multi-region.

I have a hack and it works!!! Wohooo!!!!!

well here it is...enjoy!

Turn the power ON, press "OPEN" on remote control, the tray door is out,
then press "62818", you can see "Region 2" at the left of TV, then you press "0" and voila! its as easy as that!

So hey CraigN and the rest of you...what a bargain £70!! Thanks Mirror for both the player and the "help" hehehe.
