I have not got one but read a review in "What Video" and they gave it the Best Buy TV of the year!! Best picture they had ever seen.

It is £2000 though for the 36" PW9607 model ( proberbly cheaper on net) but you do get the biggest Widescreen CRT and Dolby Digital.

If you got the money buy it! I would

I have a 32" 9527 which replaced a 5 month old Panasonic PL10. The geometry on the PL10 was excellent, but the picture quality, frankly, was appalling hence the change - thank you John Lewis! Whilst the geo is not quite so good on the Philips, with slight outward bowing of the verticals on the outer edge of the screen, the picture quality just blows you away. The pictures from pre-recoreded DVD`s via RGB are quite unbelievable - the image looks almost 3D! Via the Philips 890 DVDR, it again is fantastic in HQ and SP mode and even in LP three hour mode, quality is just about up to S-VHS standard IMHO.

Quality on analog signals are excellent too, but I have no doubt this also depends on the signal strength in your area. Sky Digital is less so, but I haven`t got around to sending the signal from the digibox direct via scart - I have no doubt this will improve matters considerably.

There are some caveats to all this. Bear in mind you do have to be seated a good distance away from the set to give you the full benefit of the quality, otherwise you do notice the digital artifacts from the Natural Motion system and Pixal Plus - up close this can be a real distraction, if you are a piccy git like me! This was one of the reasons I went for the 32" not the 36" - if you have a large enough room and can get 12 to 15 feet from the set and still get your rear speakers behind you if you use Dolby Digital or ProLogic, you`ll probably be OK but the picture compression factor of the 32" vs the 36" will also improve the quality too.

I hope this helps
