Help required.. Readme please

I am getting a bit pi**ed trying to find a DVD player that will play everything for under £100 (i`m not loaded you know)
Firstly i bought a Maxim from Big W but it had lipsync problems so back it went. Then i bought a Mico clasica 20 which was good but didn`t play VCDs so that went back too. Apparently the Pacific DVD1002 from good old Asda will play anything and is only £70! Any thoughts !! If not i`ll go for the Philips DVD634 (£95 from Richer Sounds) unless again you lot have a better idea. I thank you in advance for your help.

just checked out richer sounds. they have toshiba 220 for £99, might be region 2. this was one i considered just before xmas, i ended up getting toshiba 420 for £139. as far as i am aware the most recent 220`s can play rce disks etc...as long as its multiregion.

i had the tosh 100before i upgraded, dont even think u can get that anymore, dont think anyone would want to! i think the 220 can play cd-rw etc.. i asked similar questions on this and other forums about the 220 and overall the responses were very good. that included some very good reviews. there will be those out there who have the machine, best to let some of them say wether or not it will play the cd types you mention, then u will no for sure. but ive been happy with the toshiba, and my new player seems a step up again. just got to get some sort of sound system now to get the most out of it!

Just looked on Richer sounds website and they say it will read CD-R but it does`nt say anything about CD-RW and mentions VCD but not SVCD.
I would be grateful of any thoughts on the Pacific DVD1002.

I looked for your suggestion on the net but all that was coming up were Umax2100 scanners ?
I`ve just bought the Pacific dvd1002 from Asda (£70) and it plays anything.
I`ll see how it goes.
