Page 1 of CAT HTC 2002 sound problems

I recently bought a CAT HTC 2002 DVD player from Lidl.
I`m having problems with the surround sound. The sound is fine when watching DVD`s but when i watch sky or any television channels the sound is in stereo only. Does anyone else have this problem ? I would be grateful of any assistance. I have E-mailed the CAT support site, but i don`t think the Germans can be bothered to translate my message.

There is no technical problem here. Its just that the TV and Sky are only broadcast in stereo. The system does not emulate or fake a 6 speaker output from a stereo source.
