Page 1 of Scan Firmware

Has anyone successfully used Nero to burn their cd rom for the scan firmware ? If so what are the correct file settings. I have tried 4 times but the scan seems unable to read it.

I think nero has a problem burning it.Try using WIN on CD in xa mode.
We had a customer who succesfully burned and upgraded his machine
today so it does work.

my Scan is due here on Monday - will it need firmware upgrades already as I don`t have a CD burner?

I have burned firmware version 2.04s with nero,works fine,here are the settings i used
I burned a CDR/W (80min) using Nero 5.0.3.8 and the updates load OK.
Copy tdvd-000.ROM file with no file attributes as a CDROM (ISO).
Under the file options tab select ISO Level 2, Mode 2/XA, Character Set should be Dos. All the other options on this page should be off

You scan owners are the biggest bunch of mean tight fisted pricks out there ,you woudnt no quality if it bit you in the arse, I mean microstar seems proud of the fact that is new (do they ever get old) scan stoped working and he could not even watch a DVD over christmas.

And why dont you ask nelly why he uses,a top of the range sony machine.His motto his "I sell crap but I dont have to use it".

And also tell me a more ureliable machine than a scan.
