I`ve just bought a medion computer with a pioneer dvd-rw fitted but no
instructions on how to record onto a disk. Can anyone advise please

Depends - what DVD writing software did you get with it? (Nero, for example?) A DVD-RW drive isn`t much good without software to drive it.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your response. I have nero burning 5.5.10.7, this is supposed to be preloaded, I do have the disk though.
Being new to computing i`m not sure if it is, how can I tell?.

to tell if it`s pre-loaded go to the start menu at the bottom of the screen and left click the mouse then a menu will apear one of the first buttons is called "all programs" when this opens all installed programs will be listed the one you are looking for is called AHEAD
