Whats the name of that scart lead that everyone use to recommend???

r8sso (Elite) posted this on Monday, 12th May 2003, 23:38

Whenever anyone used to ask for a decent scart lead (about 6-8 months ago) this one was always suggested as a cheap but quality option.

I think RichardH (and maybe westy) use to recommend it all the time - RichH also has one if memory serves me right. I have one too but no longer have the box and I can`t be @rsed to climb behind the TV and have a look to see if it`s labelled!

Thanks.

BTech are the ones you mean, I think sir. From http://www.beyondhifi.net. I have the ribbon scart, and lovely it is too.

They are indeed :)

Thanks for that RichardH - Just order the ribbon scart to go with the 0.8m standard BTech I already have.

Just been there myself. Have I misread or is the 1.5m ribbon scart to scart only £12. Didn`t think it could be this cheap for a ribbon scart.

Sounds about right! Don`t forget to add VAT and shipping though - add it to your basket and all will be calculated for you.

....And it was Clayts that started all this, IIRC - I ordered mine on his recommendation. :o)

The 1.5m ribbon scart comes to about £16.00 delivered when you add VAT and Delivery - still a good price for a quality lead.

Ordered another ribbon scart on behalf of a mate the other day.
Arrived next day, Ireland to North East scotland.
£16ish all in.
Chuffed yet again with their service.
Makes a mockery of the prices your local comet/dixons/powerhouse charge for crap connectors.

I checked out the site and the cable. £16 seems a bargain but look on the home page carefully and what do you see? There is a link to the self same cable for only £7 (£8.23 incl postage). It`s the exact same model
B-tech XV21R-1M5. See for yourself....

£7

£12

Note: Using these links breaks the frames and loses the navigation bar usually on the site.

Does anyone have a case for a refund? I guess they can`t offer the same product at 2 different prices.

I`ve sent them a mail asking them if it`s possible for them to change my order before it`s dispatched! :)

Hopefully they`ll just refund my card if I`m lucky.
