copying vhs to vhs by scart

Hi im trying to copy vhs to vhs by connecting both recorders by scart. The machine i am recording onto is on av channel but there is only sound. How do i get a picture also. If anyone can help that would be great. Thanks

have a look at the ends of the scart leads, sometimes there is a switch which sets the direction of the signal. you could just have the switch set the wrong way around.

Didnt have a switch but i seem to have it working now thanx
