Annoying signage on technika 108

636 (Harmless) posted this on Friday, 7th November 2003, 13:00

Hi, I have just bought the Technika 108 from Tesco, when I use the zoom facility there are a couple of symbols that stay on screen, a blue window (small) and the zoom rate is displayed. My question is does anyone know if I can remove these??
They are not particularly big, but still annoying. :)

Hi 636 - is this the £48 player in tescos with the mirrored bit at the front? were you able to hack it to multiregion easily?

(Sorry - can`t help with your question!)

thanks

Hi julianf, I got the multi region hack off forum and it worked first time for me, and has also played (so far) all my backups too.

Still need to find a way to get rid of original problem with zoom facility...Anyone!!

Thanks 636.

My old Samsung player displays symbols when you use the zoom function - maybe it`s just to actually make you aware you`ve got the zoom on in case you`d activated it by accident and were wondering why all the scenes were in ultra-close-up :)

Hi, yes it can be multi-region enabled by a very easy remote hack, but you already probably know that. I have a question for you, does this player play SVCD`s , as I am looking for a cheap player for this purpose, as I already have a multi-region player, but it doesn`t play SVCD`s. Would appreciate any help...... :)
