Page 1 of dvd copying

I`m having problems with lip sync copying dvd`s from a Sony DAV-SA30 player via a Macro Master to a Philips DVDR980 recorder. The picture is fine but there is a second or so delay with lip sync. Has anybody got any suggestions?

Not sure if this will do any good but I had a look on http://www.dvdrhelp.com/hacks and you might try e-mailing the fella that posted the hack for the DVDR980.
