LIP-SYNC PROBLEMS WITH MY SAMSUNG 709
Anybody else out there having problems with lip-sync on some of their dvds?? I`ve had my Samsung 709 for a couple of years now and every now and again I`ll come across a disk where the lip-sync will go momentarily during a film. Is this a problem with my player? or the disk itself? I`ve played a few of the bad lip-sync scenes on my pc and the sync is perfect, which kind of suggests it`s the player. If I were looking to buy a new player, is there a specific feature I should be looking for that rectifies this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

RE: LIP-SYNC PROBLEMS WITH MY SAMSUNG 709
The old sammy 709 has been around a while now and is rather long in the tooth. I bought my parents one (before even I had a DVD) about 4 years ago. They still use it but yes, with some discs it does seem to struggle with lip-sync. So, it is your player more than likely.
I haven`t heard of any problems with more recent players as the manufacturers have a better grip on the technology these days. There isn`t really anything to look out for as such when buying a new player. I think reading a review or two (either on-line or in a mag) will help. I would try to avoid "supermarket specials" if possible because you can get a big name brand player for not much more now. For example you can pick up a Toshiba SD330 Multiregion from Richer Sounds for £79 which stands head and shoulders above anything (in terms of performance) up to about £150.
Hope that helps :)
