I have just bought a panasonic DMR-E50, can i use rewriteable dvd`s and if so what is the best brand to get?

Well going by the spec you cannot use -RW`s.
It`s RAM or one-recording-only -R`s only.
However,the spec says it shouldn`t play +R`s, but it does play datawrite +R`s,so gowd knows...
My advice would be to buy one -RW and try it before you go and buy a stash of them.

i have an e50 and use datawrite -rw to watch films i have made and only had 2 coasters out of 20 so far.the e 50 rocks

Have you actually recorded,and re-recorded on the E50 using -RW`s ??

sorry i mean i put my films on rw`s from my pc.Rw`s will not record just play.You can only use dvd ram and -r.
