Page 1 of JVC Remote Control problem

I recently purchased a JVC XV-523GD player. Everyting is working fine but i am unable to use the dvd players remote to operate the TV.

I have a Mitsubushi black diamond connected via standard scart lead to the DVD player. JVCs manual gives instructions and the manufacturers code list to program but it does not seem to work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I had a similar problem with my JVC VCR, but found that if you hold down the TV button on the JVC remote and keep it held while you enter the code for the TV then keeping the TV button held try to turn the TV off using the JVC remote then it should work.

Just hold the TV button down throughout the entire process and not just when you are putting the code in and it should operate the TV.
