Page 1 of Sony(DVPNS930V) chipped DVD player (by techtronics) flicking the TV onto different AV channels

My Sony DVD player has developed a strange fault where on certain DVDs (doesn`t matter what region code) it flicks the TV onto a different AV channel.

For example I was watching the extras on American Pie 3 and it kept flicking the TV onto AV channel 2. It does the same with the Robbie Wiliams rock DJ DVD and various others. Strangely when I watched the film of American Pie 3 it didn`t flick at all. It does appear to do it more with the special features on region 1 discs and when watching the full feature on region 2 discs.

Anybody have an idea of what this problem could be?

Interesting one... I am no expert, so I cannot provide you with a perfect solution, but you could you not just remove the pin on the scart lead that handles the auto switch - as a tempory solution you could use an old cable?
