Page 1 of Panasonic NV-VHD1B / FAULT F498

Can anyone help my friend has a Panasonic DVD/VIDEO combi, a fault code F498 has appeared on the DVD display, can anyone help to remove this ?

ref your fault F498,i am also having the same problem...unable to open the DVD tray (the only way seems to be to switch off the power at the mains & try again)...have you sorted the problem or have any further info ?...if not i will ring panasonic & let you know the outcome.

F498 relates to faulty EPROM or dry joints on EPROM. Take it to any reputable Panasonic service dealer who should be able to sort it for around 1hr labour + part (if required).
