Page 1 of DVD-RW machines with in-built HDD

To all of you who are in the know (Clayts et al).........


DVD-RW`s with HDD`s........are there any that work like Sky+ out there?

By this I mean can you programme favourites, timer recordings and the like?

Sorry if this sounds a little stupid but it`s for a mate (Still too expensive for my tastes :o ) who doesn`t fancy paying Sky even more money.....>I have suggested Tivo but he doesn`t like the sound of that either........

Hmm......
Dunno about -RW, but RAM offers a few solutions.

DMR-E50: No HDD, but does allow External Link control from the Personal Planner of a SKY box.

DMR-HS2/DMR-E100: Have HDD`s and DVD-RAM recording with the same External Link as the DMR-E50.
