DVD-R Recorder speeds

vitascope1 (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Friday, 20th February 2004, 18:24

Hi
Some DVD-R Disc`s have speeds on the 1x or 3x or 1-4x speeds.
Does it matter what speed disc`s you use for a DVD Recorder?(Panasonic E-50 PLAYER).
Are the speeds for computers?

Cheers.

Basically, yeah, but there`s some hard drive machines out there that can do a high speed transfer from HDD to disc.

your E50 don`t though, so stick to the cheaper 1x discs.

Agree`d.
It doesn`t matter which ones you use `cos the E50 records in real time anyway.
