E-50 DVD Recorder problem.

vitascope1 (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 22nd February 2004, 07:26

Copying programmes from a DVD Ram Disc to DVD-R

Picture Excellent but no sound,

From A DVD Ram to a DVD-R from a Panasonic player(a new one that can play RAM and DVD-R ok)
To a E-50 recorder.

Do I need audio leads or do the sound setting need changing?

Thanks Colin.

Yes, you need audio leads! You didn`t say how you`ve got it hooked up at the moment, but if you only have a video lead connected, you won`t get any sound.

Oh, I see. It`s probably something to do with the settings, then.

Read the manual, I`m sure you`ll figure it out. :D

I do this all the time from an s35 to an e50 but you have to be careful what the source recording is (video or rgb) and set the av2 input on the e50 accordingly. You will find the settings for av2 by accessing the settings menu and scrolling to the last entry.

When you say that the sound is there during the recording process, I presume that you are definately monitoring the sound and video from the recorder rather than the player???
