Page 1 of amplifier problem

my amp seems to cut sound out for a second whilst watching dvd. i can rewind it back and it will play the same part no problem then cut out again shortly after.

it`s been like this since i bought it, i originally thought the fault lied with my player but i recently bought a new one and the problem remains, any thoughts?

Can you provide some info on how the dvd player is connected to the amp ie phono or digital optical/coax

i think it`s just a regular coax

but i have used optical too with the same result
