Page 1 of Blank Dvd-r discs for the Panasonic Dvr-3100

I have just got the Pioneer Dvr-3100 and a pile of blank jvc dvd-r 4x discs.Has anyone tried the Datasafe Dvd-r 4x Ritek on the Pioneer and do they work.Also could anyone tell me a good Dvd-rw disc for the Pioneer.

I have just bought a pioneer 3100 and am generally happy with the recorder. i also bought Blue Bulkpaq drd-rw discs and have had major problems getting them to work - so far out of 25 i have managed to get 2 to work. can anyone tell me - do dvd-r discs give as many problems - and what brand would be recommended - i was also looking at datasafe and ritek but am reluctant to buy them if i am going to have the same problems
