I am not sure if the HTK-215 has DTS, I was going to buy one but opted for the HTK-315 instead. If I was you I would splash out on one it`s got DTS and is just fantastic. The 315 is a "off the shelf" kit as in the receiver and speakers can be purchased seperately not like the 215 which only comes as a kit, my feeling is that it`s easier to upgrade.

yes it does have dts and dd
Gladiator sounds fantastic selecting dts output.
Basically this set up is fantastic, I brought the 215 rather than 315 on looks and size. The amp has a stand so you can sit it on its end to save space.

I`ll second that.
As for looks & size it didn`t matter to me. Do you know how they compare on perfomance Moose?

Have no idea how they compare..... although my guess is they are very similar as the price is only £50 different
I was on route to buy a videologic dts set up but then saw the sony and was sold on it.
One thing that is crap is the various theatre modes - although I`ve never been a fan for anything that effects the sound by enhancing it!

They`re not bad for spiceing up 2 channel stuff, CD`s etc, also if you use your $ky DigiBox for radio channels (no FM reception in my area!!). They do have their uses, not many though.
I guess the 215 has the cinema A, B & C modes as well as jazz, classic, pop, disco etc?
