Page 1 of Help me please

Last month i bought an NEC dvd writer from Ebuyer. It worked fine for a few days, however, soon after it stopped reading some DVD`s.
I thought it might be something to do with the PC, so changed the drive to another i had in the house. I have a CD writer as the master, and the dvd writer as the slave. It still wont read any DVD`s ! Help me please.

The drive has no problems reading and writing to CDs, but it just wont read DVD`s at all now. I`m guessing its a problem with the drive, but i`ve only used it a few times

We`d need a bit more information to find out whats up.

For example: Do the DVD drives both fail to read DVD media?
Is it only DVD Video or do they read DVD Roms?
Do they read CD`s?

Post that lot and we`ll see what we can do ;o)
