Are all regions what they say?

CarryOnBecky (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 11th March 2001, 11:24

Only i brought a dvd of the film Manhunter understanding it was region 1 yet after reading a past post in here saying many region 1 discs are in fact region free i thought i would go and try the disc in my dads player in his pc which i dont think is multi regional as itas a standard player you get with your pc package. And low and behold the disc played fine.
So i guess its not region one after all.
Becks.

All discs are required to carry the region code on the packaging Becks, normally on the back.

(sort of wireframe orb with a number in the middle)

Check that on your discs case.

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

Cheers for that. I looked earlier on the back but couldnt see a region writen on the back but i brought it from Play247.com under the region 1 section. I didn`t alter anything on the pcs dvd player. Interesting though.
Becks. :)
