Tesco - Cheap Home Cinema DVD Kit
Daughter has asked for `surround sound` for her bedroom for her birthday, so I`ve started investigating whats available. First thing is, this doesn`t have to be anything too exciting or cutting edge, just something to play DVD/CD/MP3/VCD on and something she can plug her Sky box through as well (Preferrably). It also needs to be mulri region
Seen a couple of things in Curry`s and Comet which looked interesting, but at Tesco tonight, I saw a pretty neat looking one called `Technika`..had 5:1 sound amp built in and came with the speakers for just under 80 quid.
Thought I`d look it up on the net when I got in, but Tesco`s site doesn`t show it, and I can`t find any mention of it anywhere..Foolishly, I didn`t get the model number.
Anyone know the model I`m talking about? Anuone got any opinions on it?

This system also caught my eye.
I think it is by Technika & surprisingly at that price point it says it has Dolby PLII as well as Dolby Digital 5.1.
In addition to the DVD it also says it has a digital tuner.
I don`t know the model code but think it is the same system as this one for sale on Ebay:

If it does really have Dolby PLII & can use this with stereo inputs from say your TV, VCR &/or digital decoder then it could be a good bargain.
Hope this helps.
