hairyhaggler (Elite) posted this on Sunday, 2nd May 2004, 11:47

I am finding out some info for a workmate
He is looking for a decent dvd player for under £100.
He has given me a shortlist to put on her and get your expert advice. ;)
The list is. :-
1. Sharp DVSL10H dvd player. £99.98 from unbeatable.co.uk

2. Thompson DTH211 dvd player. £60.96 from unbeatable.co.uk

3. Pioneer DV360S multiregion dvd player. £79.95 from dvdplayers.co.uk

4. Ronin P807 multiregion dvd player. £57.95 from dvdplayers.co.uk

Any input, advice and recommendations very gratefully recieved.

tbh, you can`t go wrong with the pacific 1002w from asda £29.99 plays everything easy multi-region hack (and it`s permanant) plays vcd/svcd/mp3/raw mpg1/raw mpg2 plays mpg`s without needing to author (ie drag the video file onto a data disk and stick it directly in the player :) ) only problem is it`s a bit of a dog to look at. but sound and picture are very very good :)

AH, LONE STAR. I SEE YOUR SCHWARTZ IS AS BIG AS MINE. ;)
