Page 1 of SCAN say "pants to poverty". I say "pants to firmware 1.80"

Hi,
I got stuck on 1.80 after downgrading. Scan have just agreed to swap my dvd player out for a new one after I offered to make a donation to comic relief if they did it by red nose day. I just wanted to let you know that there are humans working at SCAN. :-)
Before all the negative posts come in, I want to stress that the donation was my doing not a suggestion from SCAN.

Scan customer services may be a little slow, but how many other companies will do a swap out by courier. Normally you`d have to send yours back, wait, wait, wait and eventually get a replacement.

I agree firmware v1.80 now looks to be a bit dangerous, especially for the 00000001 chipset.

From now on we are encouraging people not to downgrade below their shipping version unless they know they can do so safely.

Could you tell us what firmware your next Scan comes with, and what chipset is in it?
