Page 1 of Help Needed in selecting a Portable DVD Player Please! All opinions wanted! :)

Hello

I want to buy a portable DVD Player but am unsure of what to get. :/

I know what I want:
DEFINITE:
- 7inch+ screen size (looking towards 8"or 10")
- Ability to make it multi region (Is it possible to get ANY player chipped in the UK?)


OPTIONAL
- very good battery life (not necessary but would be nice)
-Aesthetics are always good(slim design)
-Preferable a "Good" (well established) brand like Sony/Panasonic/Samsung Etc but as long as it has the definite features from above anything goes

My Budget ranges from £350-£400 (Not a lot I know :p )

I have had my eye on the samsung L200 player which seems great as it`s within my budget at £350 including shipping- (bought from the US) But is it worth getting a player from the US- I know it may void the warentee but I have looked and looked but I don`t know of any hack for the l200 if there were a hack then I would buy it in a flash! :D

Finally what are your views on buying players from the US and getting them shipped over...Is it a good idea or a big no no?

hi i purchased a ronin m280 portable dvd player,7" screen easy made multiregion,plays pal/ntsc/cd/mp3 photo cd 2hour battery life with supplied battery etc etc only £190 from svp communications give it a look.
does everything i want i am very happy with this unit

I recently bought one of these excellent Portable DVD players with the brand name of Arrgo, one which you list. THis was available at only £259 inc vat and came with all the accessories incl. car lighter adapter and battery pack and access to all batteries and spare for the future. It is ALREADY multi region and plays all of the DVD- or DVD+ discs and everything else I have thrown at it. It is avail from McGill and Co Ltd also know as McGillonline.co.uk.
