A good divX dvd player with region free and macro off options?


Got a Compacks, Cyberhome an Alba and a Philips and not one will play a dam divX disk! >:(

I would definately recommend the Yamada 6600. See this thread, but like BigDH I don`t know about the macro (there is a post about a macrovision disabler on this forum circa £20 IIRC)

There is also the Medion MD40814 (see this thread) which is about £10 cheaper on Amazon (and you can get free delivery), but I think the Yamada is worth the extra.

a chipped x-box will do the trick, BUT you need to copy you`re files to a blank dvd rather than cd`r and the x-box won`t convert to pal 50 (at least i don`t think so) but the macro is definatly off, but macro is only an issue with "original" dvd`s not divx or xvids etc.
