Page 1 of philips dvdr80 and sony digital tv

Hi`Can anyone help with this problem I am trying to get guide+ on the dvdr80 to work on my sony digital tv but so far can only get it to record BBC1 through to ch.5 and it will not accept the freeview channels so is there anyone out there who has managed to do this or have any idea`s on the subject,or is it a problem on non compatability once more
