Page 1 of Digital cameras - Recommendations please

Looking to buy a moderately priced digital still camera, say up to about £400. Preferably SLR style ( know I can`t afford the real thing). So semi pro is something I`m after. Any ideas please ?

Take a look at Fuji`s S7000 (around £335), and Minolta`s A1 (a touch over £400 but worth it). Have a look at www.dcviews.com/cameras.htm for links to reviews on just about about camera out there.

Cannon G5 sounds about right. Superb picture quality, but more of a medium format rather than slr type of camera. Try www.dpreview.com for somw more ides.
