Page 1 of Scan SC-2000

I am highly considering purchasing this player. It has very good functionality being multiregion, plays VCD`s, MP3 etc... I am just getting a little worried about most of the problem posts about this player. Should I be getting worried? And when I get the player should I update it to the latest firmware right away and if so where can I download it from and how do I go about doing it. Do I simply just write the file to a CD?

Hi I along with a few others run a site about this player, as this question comes up quite a bit i ran a poll of the members to give a bit of fact to the answer of this type of question. I asked them

as for updateing the firmware on this player it is easy to do and you will find all the official firmware relases on the site and instructions of how to do it.

if you make a post at the site i am sure you will get an truthfull answer from alot of members (good and bad points.)

another point you see a lot of problem posts here because the FAQ that Nivz wrote pointed users with problems to this forum, if you look at other forums there are hardly any posts about this player.
