Hi,

I am very interested in buying the LG - DVD3350E dvd player due to its high spec ( mp3 and DD5.1 decoders and multi-region) , but what i was wondering was where does everyone suggest and recommend i buy it from? I was tempted to buy from Techtronics but after reading other users problems i am not going to buy from them at all now.

Please help as i would really like to get a bargain without, after buying it find it cheaper somewhere else.

Thanks,
Panthro

Hello There,
I ordered the LG DVD from Techtronics before I read all the bad press and immediately thought OH S#!T. But to be fair it arrived in 5 days and touch wood, no problems. I had the mod upgrade and have only so far played region 1 and 2 DVD`s and a VCD with no problems at all. Mayby I have just been lucky or have all the crap to come. I found them to be alright but who knows. People don`t always tend to praise companys as much as slag them off when something goes wrong. Possibly there are thousands of satisfied customers out there. I`m one (at present).

I`ll assume here you mean the macro mod? `Cause the Region and VCD mod is a con, they`re just hacked before you get it!

Very good, and true point.
However, I have a macro modded player purchased from them very recently, and I`m testing the mod through every method and unit I can think of/get my hands on as the mod appears to reduce picture quality dramatically.

I have informed Techtronics within the first 7 days to prevent them trying to charge me postage for the return of a faulty unit, but when asked "Will this be a pick and drop swap out" they said " No, that needs a director`s authorisation"

I replied that within 28 days, I can INSIST on a replacement, or a full and total refund if the unit is faulty. They went quiet, and then said "When you call the uplift line they may be able to help you further."

UK Retail law states that any unit sold that developes a fault within a 28 day period, and is returned complete with packaging/accessories etc. (as new) should be replaced or refunded.

Let`s just see what happens if I can prove the picture degradation...

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!!!
(for a few more days! lol)
