I`m thinking of buying a new player and one that has caught my eye is the REC-3000, does anyone know if this player is any good ? My Old player the Matsui isnt worth the hassle anymore and I done really know what players are worth buying.

I have one and got it at the end of December the picture is very good as is the sound it will play the MATRIX and Gladiator without problems and the spot on the discs when they refocus is just a slight pause. Its only draw backs are as follows

1/ no mp3 play back

2/ region 2 only

It will play audio cds very well. And the remote is well layed out with buttons for normal size fingers.Iam very pleased and it has worked without problems and have no plans to change for any other make .

Has the following

1/ 3 settings for sharpness

2/sound compression setting

3/ karaoke function [with special discs]
