I am seriously considering buying the Digitheatre (not DTS) but my only doubt is the lack of DTS decoding.
My budget is £250 and the only budget systems that deecode DTS are the Scan AV6 and the Yamaha TSS-1 but these are not very powerful and seem to lack quality.
What does anyone think about this situation. Should I go for DTS but lower quality or go with good quality with a look to upgrading(which is a good feature of the Digitheatre, the decoder is completely seperate and so upgradeable) in the future (ie. when my bank acount is no longer in the red)?
Does ANYONE have any opinions on the Digitheatre?

Hi Kemo
I bought the Digitheatre from Dabs.Com for £205 a couple of months ago and have been pleased with the performance, the sound is a real step up from nicam stereo and makes watching dvds more enjoyable.
The digitheatre is loud enough for most living rooms and you get all you need in the box to set it up straight away, you can also connect your video or digibox for pro logic sound.
I would recommend the digitheatre as it offers good performance for the price and has recieved good reviews although if you want dts then you will have to look elsewhere.

go to www.justdvd.co.uk and read their review on the TSS-1 - i want one but don`t wish to part my dosh with PC World - i`m looking for a local retailer in the Manchester area that sells the bugger
If you can scrape together the extra £40 buy the Yamaha VS10 system.
See earlier thread!!!
Use an optical digital cable. Excellent sound and build quality from Yamaha.
