Liz Hurley or Kylie Minogue only kidding
sky digital or telewest(cable up ere)
i have analogue cable at the minute and it will only cost me £15 to install
before 30th april so hurry up and decide for me........is it worth going for sky just because of the extra film channels
thanx in advance
I got telewest - not particularly impressed by their £15.00 package as the channels are crap - not even sky one! You`ll get Bravo, Eurosport, Cartoon network, Discovery, Animal Planet, Living, Mtv2, Paramount, Trouble, UK gOld, UK play, Style and E4 (I`ve also got on digital which is expiring soon, I might keep that `cause of sky one). But then I got a cable line thrown in for the £15.00 monthly and for an extra £10.00 monthly I get 24/7 access to the internet. Sometimes a little slow but u do not get disconnected every 2 hours!
if you are also interested in broad band internet go with telewest.
When i said get it for £15 i meant installation but i will be getting the full package of sky or cable is it just the extra film channels you get with sky
or are there anymore
the other thing is you get a free phone line with cable with free local calls
but yor paying £6 quid more( so its not that free) than sky
help
RE: Who should i go with
I have sky - 16 month for all non premium channels and arount £15 extra for the movie channels.
what makes me really p***ed off with it is... I have a W/S telly but most of the movie channels aren`t w/s! which is why I dropped the movies recently!
I dont know about Telewest but Cable and Wireless (now NTL) up here in manchester has a s***e reputation - my mate has it and his box regularly hangs. I have spoken to people who work for them and they also recommend sky!
as for the free phone line - I suspect this is built into the price.
I went with NTL, but only because we live on the side of a steep hill and couldn`t get Sky coverage. When I took everything into account with the phones and everything going with NTL rather than Sky works out at about £5 a month more expensive. NTL did this deal where you get a cable modem (only 64k), the 5 TV packs and the phone line for £33. Not bad, especially as I `negotiated` a free installation as they messed up my phone installation.
