LVW-5005 Tuner sound probems

ericpd (Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 8th December 2004, 20:07

Just bought a Lite-on LVW5005 from Argos - have set it up no problems - I am happy with the capabilities of the Recorder - apart from one thing - the tuner sound is distorted and records in this way also - not sure if this is a fault or if this is normal. Appears to be worse on ITV but is quite bad on all Analogue channels. Not sure what to do - take it back or try and find a cure??

Any help much appreciated.

I had exactly the same problem...took it back and got a replacement which was OK. The 5005 will never have great sound as the tuner is only mono.

The sound is a bit distorted on mine too, I record TV programs via my VCR tuner on the SCART input which gives great sound quality.
