Page 1 of LITEON LVW-5004 ????

Hi i went to Argos to buy a lvw-5005 which is in their catalogue and they one had one left but it turned out to be a 5004 model, it seems to have all the features that the 5005 has but it also has videoplus+ and RGB/S-video ..but when i tried to find a bit more info on the Liteon site they don`t seen to do a 5004 model !!, has any one got one or have even heard of this model and is it better or worse the the 5005...thanks pete

Sure they havent given you a 5045 by mistake? (If so keep Schtum!!!)

Same here - I only I took my faulty LVW 5005 back to Argos - only for it to be replaced by a LVW 5004. First impressions are they are identical as far as the GUI is concerned apart from the additional Videoplus settings,and an additional 3 hour recording setting, plus an extra sound setting. Although cosmetically different with a different colour box - I think I am pleased with the replacement. (Argos maintain they only replace items with the same or better spec.)

I think you`d know if it was a 5045.

I also took my 5005 back to Argos and was replaced with a 5004. My 5005 was muti-region. Does anyone know if the 5004 can be altered to multi region or macrovision disabled? :/

Hi Sneale ...just done the multi-region crack on my 5004 it`s the same has the ones for the 5005/5006 ..useing the hand controller go to setup move the cursor over the exit and type in 2 9 6 0 it will tell you which region it is set for just press enter anf you will get a list of regions just select Region free press enter and it`s done ..i have tested it on a region 1 disk and plays ok ++++++

Thanks for the info have recorded a couple of DVD-R on various brands of media but I cannot get them to play back on any of my DVD players.

2x Cyberholme CH-402 and Pioneer 717
I tried on a friends Yamada which played fine.
DVDs recorded on a Panasonic 55 worked on every player I tried.
As anyone else encountered this problem ?
